Wizards brehs... I'm so heated right now. I know its an empty gym, I know there's questions about if he absorbs defensive concepts in this training, but damnit Ernie Grunfeld...

Dammit!! Breh! I was just there last week getting a tour of the locker room and facility(fan appreciation day) and when I looked at the names above the lockers it was ether!!
Ernie! Damn!

Uncertain grounds
dream could probably still play off the bench today.

the work with dream should make them better defensively, as it should add more overall post awareness to their games. they should be able to recognize and predict what move the opposing big man is going to do easier, as well as becoming slightly more nimble/agile with their footwork. but we'll have to wait and see how much this shyt actually registers with them, and how much they forget.

Javales footwork seemed :comeon: to me....

stop hating on the boy. truth is. his foot work looked good in this video.

javale mcgee is EXTREMELY agile to be that height. a guy at his height and build should be tripping over his own feet. but he doesnt. his problem is he's not smart enough to know when to USE these moves. dream can teach you ever dream shake he has. it wont matter cause you then have to know when to apply which move.

anyone can learn the formulas to equations and rehash them if you ask for those exact formulas. but when its test time do you know WHICH formula to use when and on which problems? thats the difference between a HIGH BBALL IQ guy that can become an ELITE player based on SKILLS and not just physical gifts.

kobe has more post moves then anyone in the nba. nash is a beast in the post as well. so is tony parker. so why is it that a guy like lebron is just now getting down there and still doesnt know what to do and when aside from pass it out of the post or shoot a turn around?

because everyone isnt a super ELITE thinker when it comes to COUNTER MOVES.

if javale every figured out when to use those moves. he would be the best big in the nba. yes better then bynum and dwight EASILY. thats because he's as long as bynum or a bit longer. but more agile then he and dwight. dwight isnt even as agile as mcgee. mcgee is faster, quicker with and without the ball. he's much taller/longer then dwight. this is why shaq is so high on him. he knows if this dude EVER figures out.....

oh and why is amare there? amare needs to be in REBOUND camp, and DEFENSE camp. not more offense.

They look robotic because they are still learning... They are still thinking while they're making their moves. 95% of the league would look stiff at this point.... That won't change until they do the moves to the point that motions become natural. Just like someone who can't dribble with one hand... When they're learning to dribble with that hand its gonna be choppy and loose. But once their bodygets used to it, those muscles will become stronger and get used to it, and it'll all become more fluid.

They'll both be fine if they can retain it and continue to practice... At some point they won't even have to think... the right moves will just come naturally. The best players don't think before they make their moves... They just do it subconsciously

Lol, like this is going to make a difference in Amare's game. He's still lazy on defense and injury prone.

Amare isn't lazy on defense... He just sucks, lol. He actually tries pretty hard... He just has no defensive instinct. He often tries so hard, he makes it easier for people to blow right past him...

Another thing... An offensive improvement its am improvement nonetheless. Isn't this all so Melo and Amare can work better together on the floor together. If Amare can pay the most game they can play off each other more (i.e., passing to each other out of the post when they get double teamed)
