pretty much. I wish somebody offered me a chance at a $10 million budget and all I had to do was "make sure it makes sense".
If Klein didn't like the way he talked to him, if he was a real hustler, he'd just do what he has to come up for a few years bank a few mill and cut ties with him when he was straight and go off on his own. Im sure Jay would have had no problems with that and Klein wouldn't be on thisis50 rocking Tommy gear promoting tell-all books. But like you guys said pride is a motherfukker

It was a budget for any business deal with the only caveat being so long as it "made sense". CK wanted to use it to buy the Civic Center in South Carolina but b/c they knew it was involving Jay-z they tried to up the price, which is a common real estate tactic. But there's a simple solution to that, they could have just set up a shell company in some other name unrelated to Jay

CK called Jay and said a civic centre in Carolina was up for sale, Jay let him spearhead a $10 million project to buy it but they wanted too much (13 mill)

plus I'm sure he could've negotiated the price back down to 10 mil, especially since they know the money's is guaranteed, ain't nobody leaving 10 mil on the table in the present in hopes to make an extra 3 mil in the feature

He just dropped a book called "neighborhoods under seige" and he owns his own travel/hotel booking agency.... he throws block party's for marcy/redhook and he does alot of work within the neighborhoods he once raised hell in....
Get it right when speaking on nikkas who've lived that life only to get a second chance to make that life right.....

I see it both sides.
Jay was probably Klein's little nikka back in the day. Hearing his "little nikka" speak to him like he was a flunky probably left a sour taste in his mouth.
On the other hand, the 80s/90s were a long time ago. You ain't that dude no more. Jay is now. He aint your "little nikka" no more. He's a superstar with half a billion dollars.
we all understand what he was saying......just saying he made the wrong move over bullshyt.....
lets be real lets say Jay gave him $1 mil cash when he got out, a dude like that would have put it on the street immediately ......within time he woulda been picked up by the feds and the feds would have tried to do Jay like they done Irv Gotti...... joint enterprise ........ probably would have given klein a deal just to get to Jay...
dude was given $10 million TO DO WHATEVER HE WANTED, no conditions..... and his problem was because he was told that it had to make sense he had a problem with it?
