last O-Line coach was awesome, how did these cats look better as true freshmen than they do as sophomores against Arkansas St?? Sark hired some retread and it shows.
Jalen Greene might actually have a future at WR
Even with the long TD, I just don't like Madden as the #1 back. Maybe as that guy you bring in late in the 3rd/4th quarter to pound teams when you are protecting a lead, but he doesn't have that extra gear Buck had. Going on record now saying Ronald Jones is our best back this season.
And do we really have a white former walk-on as the backup PR to Adoree![]()
Shid Rogers, Mitchell, & Adoree when he's on offense. Plus a myriad of other guys. I like to use the 2014 ND game, & the games with Fresno game where it showed how crazy our offense could be when it's opened up to everybody.Only thing that could get me on board with Helton is if they made it to the Rose Bowl, anything less and he has to go. Nice enough guy, does a lot of things the right way, but it's time for an entirely new identity. No matter how many of the current players it pisses off.
I think whoever is hired as HC absolutely HAS to have college HC experience. Even if that means we don't go after some NFL guys (doubt we'd be able to in the first place)
The interior of the DLine has stepped up the last few games, but we are still having a tough time generating pressure off the edge. DB play/coaching hasn't impressed me this season. Our defensive scheme IMO has been the biggest achilles heel the last 2 seasons more than anything. We get large leads in games and then play soft zone and let teams just move the ball at will on a vanilla defense.
You can blame Kessler for staring down JuJu, it's certainly a valid criticism, but we have 0 reliable TE's thanks to off the field fukkery, plus nobody stands out from the rest of the wideouts. We had Woods/Lee and Lee/Agholor and Agholor/JuJu and now there isn't a 2nd option.
I'm not sure we ever see Max Browne start a game at SC depending on who the next coach is. If it's someone who runs more of a zone-read spread then I could see it being the Darnold show right quick since he has wheels. I always felt Browne was a bit overhyped in HS personally.
Colorado is improved this season compared to the last few, and it's gonna be cold as shyt over there. I'm expecting a win but I think the Buffs keep it within the spread. I hate non Thursday games.
Rogers is too inconsistent, lots of drops for him. Mitchell I do think can shine if he was targeted more. Adoree full time on offense could be that guy, but as long as they have him going both ways he'll be limited just by sheer snap count.
I agree with you on that, plus I'm not even sure NFL is his ultimate goal, I think it's on to the Olympics if he had his way
