Biden has Kamala out there more than Obama had Biden out there.
Obama wasn't opening half of his major speeches with Biden speaking before him, the way Biden has Kamala speaking before him.
Biden actually has Kamala in a more out front role than any VP in history has been, including himself.

You're conflating the screen time she got at the beginning of the administration with REAL tasks. Obama had Biden running executive-level projects (like suppressing Iran's nuclear program). Biden knew what that did for his profile and *tried* to do the same thing for Harris, but she fell flat on her face, then her staff tried to blame HIM for setting her up to fail
So, she's going to spend the next 3 1/2 years doing traditional busy work. He might even replace her in 2024.
