The soundtrack to this movie was a classic, Jay, Nas, Rakim, Xzibit, 50, Em all on the same soundtrack :wow:

Rap Game, love me, You wanna be me (Jay diss? :usure:), Lose Yourself, 8 mile, rabbit run, Places to go, spit shine, etc, was all dope :dj2:

I wonder why Dre didn't have a verse or a song on the album. :ehh:

like homie said, we just used to skip to the battles, then put something else on.

there were like a handful of movies that dropped at that time that were much more important. wheres the 10 year anniversary for PAID IN FULL, barbershop, drumline. hell, even "friday after next"?

black media isnt even geared towards black folks anymore. this cant be life.

which goes to show that this movie was moreso a big deal outside of the urban community than it was within it.
You really saying black people would rather read about a Drumline reunion? Drumline my ****? :rudy:

Black elitists in full force today.

The 8 mile soundtrack along is worthy of an appreciation.

are you seriously trying to say that 8 mile was more popular than drumline in the hood?

and niccas only copped that soundtrack for "wanksta". the real soundtrack that had chit on smash at the time was PAID IN FULL. it was THE MOVIE with the hip-hop crowd as well. why isnt vibe doing a special on that?

It wasnt perfect, but it was epic for its time.

Ive only been in a few movie theatres where the crowd was actually howling and cheering like they were in the last battles

drumline? :heh:

chit like this is why white people routinely get dissed on this forum, sometimes undeservingly but everybody catches it because of chit like this.

white people on here stay trying to tell black people what was poppin in our communities. and when we speak the obvious about what was really going on, you resort to devilish tactics such as this one, trying to make us seem crazy.

f**k out my culture.

get the ENTIRE fukk OUTTA HERE nikka...

This is back during the Eminem Show/8 Mile era...that was at Em's PEAK..

Lose Yourself was the song EVERYBODY connected with...rather your a rapper or just a nikka trying to get through the day..THAT was the song that pumped you up...this was BEFORE Itunes...so you HAD to buy the soundtrack...I mean seriously..

and don't be acting nikkas just wanted to hear 50...you had Hov, Nas, Rakim, Gangstarr, Young Zee, Xzibit and pretty the entire Shady roster...50 was just the icing on the cake....

 8 Mile had a bigger impact in hip-hop then Drumline..I mean shyt..Lose Yourself won a fukking OSCAR...the FIRST hip-hop song to win a OSCAR....THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A SECOND...

I know you wanna talk about Three Six Mafia winning it next...but Em winning it was BIG for hip-hop...the first rapper to win a Oscar....

but of course..nikkas in the hood don't care about Oscars...they care about drums...:beli:

So yes...a 8 Mile 10 year reunion was necessary cuz it was a huge impact on the hip-hip culture....why is that hard for you to understand?...:leostare:

and again...you nikkas need to stop making statements like u speak for EVERYBODY when in reality u just speak for your own hating ass self...
