Shoulda been en vogue v swv
No it shouldn’t have been. SWV and Xscape were peers toe for toe. They made they same type of r&b, had the same fans and the same prime run. En vogue was a crossover from traditional soul groups to new jack swing. SWV and xscape were fully 90’s r&b/hip hop soul. Perfect match

edit: y’all truly disrespecting xscape. Ask a black woman who’s 35-50 about these two groups and it’s neck and neck, SWV had bigger hits chart wise, but they both were mainstays for girls-20 somethings of the 90’s.

Stop it breh. They are no competition to swv. I have the albums
i had the albums of both groups and they absolutely are.

swv's cant beat songs: weak, anything wu-tang remix, right here human nature remix

"can we" is on the cusp, everything else is touchable

xscape's daggers: just kickin, understanding, who can i run to, always be my baby remix

You know
Bruh. I’m goin for SWV as in I think they have the stronger catalogue plus they from my city. But Xscape got joints fam. It’s gonna be a dope Versuz.
List records besides “just kick it” “understanding” “who can I run to” (which is a cover) “feel so good” that can go toe to toe with SWV?

I can see just kickin it, who can I run to winning. Then what? SWV has stronger versions of the songs listed. Weak, rain, always on my mind, anything (OG version)> understanding. Right here remix > always be my baby (remix Mariah song)

don't matter that it's a cover, swv's right here is loved for the human nature sample

can't hang, little secret, softest place on earth, keep on keepin on, love on my mind, do you want to, arms of the one who loves you

what singles by swv do you have that can't be touched besides the ones i listed in my post? use your heart might be the only other one. both groups gonna need to dig into their album cuts for this and that's where it further evens out. swv will likely "win" but it's not lopsided
