But Apple is attacking the OEMs to indirectly attack Google; dude is right...this might fukk up Samsung depending on how the appeal goes (Groklaw said that this is what would exactly happen weeks ago), but the real fight just started a few days ago between Googlerola and Apple.
Google used to say that they'd NEVER flex their patent muscle like Apple has been doing - well, Steve wanted a "thermonuclear" war. I think this jury (and judge) were a little too pro-Apple because this decision came too quick with so much patent law at stake, but Google/Motorola is going to strike back hard in the coming months with Moto's patents.
They ain't off to a good start...

By the way, I'm against all of this shyt. This KILLS creativity and innovation. The fields of Software Engineering and Computer Science heavily rely on building on past creations.
Imagine if Microsoft decided to "patent" the concept of windows? Every damn OS uses some form of program window.

Think about it. Why has crApple not attacked Google/Motorola, just kill the source of Android. But they cant or at least not willing to risk it.

Cause Google has more money to battle Apple with. But they've just damaged Samsung and if they choose t odo so, can take out HTC and any other smaller company even more easily with this court ruling.

Google has invested money and research into many diverse fields. They will have their own internet provider/TV company next year. They are leading the way in implementing internet signals in vehicles, and having vehicles drive themselves.
Google already knows what Apple is trying to do, chip away at OEMs like Samsung and HTC. That's why Google is already starting to shift into making their own hardware. They will make their own hardware, sell it through Google Play without a contract and for cheap, and have it all sync up with your home ISP/TV and car.
Google is 10 steps ahead of them.

No experience with sofware development or the wasteland of tech IP law? Of COURSE we'd get an educated verdict from that...
I know you can't pick your jurors, but anyone with experience in the above listed fields could have probably seen this coming. Both are really too slippery and complex for the culture. Gotta simplify it and reduce it...
Makes me glad I've never owned a piece Apple hardware or software. With the way that courts interpret IP law being applied to a context where those rules really don't apply, we're heading headlong into a monopoly state. and if Apple hadn't done it, I'm confident somebody else would've.
