Ironically the police argument mirrors what dudes say to women about protecting themselves about rape. In a fair world you should be able to exercise your rights, but in the real world youll have to understand what may come towards you if you do.

Knowing that cops get away with murder the majority of the time, is it not better to just record the experience and just take it court instead of potentially getting yourself hemmed up.

I was listening to a black lawyer on talk radio years ago and he said the same thing.


He said he has black and white clients who get pulled over for the wrong reasons. He said more often than not the white clients will express their displeasure but for the most part will simply record and make it a point to fight the legality of the stop later in court.

He said his black clients are very sensitive ( for good reason ) and will often attempt to fight the ticket on the side of the road. The cops are simply not going to back down even if they are dead wrong. They then know how to push our buttons to get us to actually catch a legit charge.

He says he tells his black clients to just be cool and not fight. Take the ticket or even sitting in jail for a night. We can always fight it later. He said too often we play right into the cops hands and they then lock us up or murder us even though the reason for the initial stop was shaky at best

Bc in the REAL world, this doesn’t even come up. 90% of the time you do not know the politics of someone who’s helping the community. Do you know if your son’s coach is maga? Do you know if your daughter’s ballet teacher is maga? A new restaurant opens up, you ask who they’re voting for before you get tht turkey wings?

The only reason this is even a thing is bc new age black political ‘woke’ culture is trying to reinvent the wheel. ‘Don’t talk politics and religion’ has always been a thing for that very reason but now folk wanna mesh everything together

The black power movement was built on Maoism and Frantz Fanon, it had nothing to do with white progressivism and most of them disliked and distrusted the white liberal.

What you think is white progressivism is just progressivism. White liberalism isn't progressivism. Marxism was what the movement was built on. Some more of the extreme leaned to a more aggressive communist viewpoint (maoism) but it was generally socialist.

People just don't know what conservativism is. They think that just because they want a wife and kids and they believe in Jesus that they are a "conservative"

Excellent point. I had a similar thought. This isn't a real world issue for adults. It's good for online fodder.

I have no clue how most of my family and friends vote. It's just not relevant. I've got folks on both ends of the political spectrum, whom I can call up in an emergency and they will show up. So when you are trying to do good, you really shouldnt care about political affiliation, as it's not helping you advance your goal. We don't talk politics at church, we get stuff done.

It's not about seeing eye to eye. We don't have time to treat politics like silly spectator sport when you got legit, open white supremacy driving the conservative agenda in 2024. You not gonna convince me some Trump, or DeSantis, or Nikki "what do you want me to say about slavery" black conservative is someone I can trust with a pro-black agenda anymore than I woulda trusted the comfy house negro to join a plantation uprising. I don't know why some of yall are so hellbent on convincing us black conservatives are secretly pro-black. They're sanctimonious c00ns who are holding us back and doing it with their noses up. Period.

We are a MINORITY. We have no business being conservative in a majority white nation. It makes no sense unless you have no idea how politics work and think its all sport. You are serving a political agenda that is intended to reinforce social and economic hierarchies of the majority in favor of one that fights for equal power among the people. It's that simple and there is no way to twist conservatism into some ideology of "helping Black people" or the poor as a whole.
