'03 Spurs only had one legitimate star in Duncan, Robinson only gave 11 &7. TP and Manu werent even close to the players they were just a couple years later. I mean didnt Duncan lead his team in pretty much every major statistical category (pts, reb, blk, and asst).

With that said it doesnt disprove what SVG said although he didnt really state anything that was groundbreaking.

Fortunately for them they played in the Finals against another one-star team. :yeshrug:

:snoop: at nikkas still trying to hold Dirk up as anything more than a nikka who got lucky that Bron's menses started. He did his thing in the clutch in that Finals but if Bron is anywhere near Bron they prolly get swept. Basically had the same team this year, minus Chandler and got quickly dispatched in the first round. Oddly enough that is the same thing that happened to them the year before, before Chandler arrived. Dirk, Duncan, and Dream didn't have another superstar per se however they did have top notch clutch future and former stars and role players. It's :heh: how nikkas cling to a formula that worked 3 times in 30 years as if it's proof of something.

As far as the two stars issue no one has an issue with multiple stars on THEIR team or on one of the chosen teams. People only make an issue of multiple stars when it could negatively affect their team or it's not on one of the "it" teams.

oh how quickly nikkas forget smh

now dudes saying dirk a top 5 pf :heh:

Exactly, Jason Terry tuned the series around with his clutch shooting especially in that game 2 comeback. He was clutch the whole series. Dirk's best game that series was in a loss.

The '94 rockets and '11 Mavs are exceptions, not the rule.

Dirk got lucky? That's what you take away from the Mavs run last year? 46% from 3, 94% at the ft line... 24/24 in a game against okc. Dirk was on fire, give him credit. Mavs played to Lebron's passive style, and his teammates didn't hit shots. Mavs also went through okc and the lakers...

Well, Heat should have won that series and probably easily. LeBron literally disappeared.

As for the Mav's, Dirk had a LOT of help. Terry played like an all star and T. Chandler played like a DPOY. LeBron never had that kind of help in Cle.

you forgot jj barea and deswag stevenson breh:rudy:

I did. There were there when the team got dispatched in first round in 2010 though right?

Dirk certainly deserves his share of credit. I just think it's silly how people keep tryna hold him up as this example of a star doing it "alone". His teammates stepping up and Bron stepping down were more responsible for the Mavs winning than Dirk "being the guy" or "getting it done without a star". Dirk was just as good if not better during the Mavs 06 run but walked away from that being referenced as soft and a choker because his teammates didn't step up and Wade and the refs and the rest of the Heat did step up.
