So who is gonna step up and stan for the VCU?

I will, because although they're spread a bit too thin right now with too many irrelevant books, the first two years after the initial relaunch of Valiant was dope as fukk. :whoo:

If they base the movies/tv-shows on those early runs, they got some really good source material. There's a reason why one of the key writers (Robert Venditti, who has done the entire X-O Manowar run, Valiant's top book, and is currently also killing it on The Eternal Warrior) was handpicked by DC to follow up Geoff Johns as lead writer for the Green Lantern books.

Also, although there hasn't been an official announcement yet the world needs that Quantum & Woody fukkery ASAP! :blessed:

NYCC 2016: VALIANT DEBUTS FIRST OFFICIAL LOOK AT NINJAK FROM TOP-SECRET LIVE-ACTION PROJECT

Valiant is proud to debut the first official image of star Michael Rowe in costume as MI-6’s master assassin – Colin King aka the lethal Ninjak – from Valiant’s upcoming TOP-SECRET, LIVE-ACTIONproject to be announced at New York Comic-Con 2016 (NYCC) on October 8th! Valiant’s first-of-its-kind, feature-length original digital series – directed by Bat in the Sun’s Aaron & Sean Schoenke, the co-creators of the massively successful YouTube sensation Super Power Beat Down – will feature Ninjak’s brutal live-action debut as he goes head-to-head with a top-secret roster of Valiant’s most iconic heroes for a bloodstained battle royale.

Additionally, Valiant can now confirm two new additions to the project’s star-studded cast in actor Kevin Porter (Dodgeball) and actress/model Ciera Foster (Straight Outta Compton). Porter and Foster join lead actor Michael Rowe (CW’s Arrow, The Flash) alongside a prestigious and rapidly growing cast that also includes Jason David Frank (Power Rangers), John Morrison (WWE, El Rey’s Lucha Underground), Derek Theler (ABC’s Baby Daddy), and Chantelle Barry (90210, Entourage).

“We’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on this series since 2015 and are incredibly excited to be debuting the first look at footage this year at New York Comic Con. We’ve set out to make the best and most ambitious series ever produced in the digital space – one that will live up to the high standards we’ve set in publishing,” said Valiant CEO & Chief Creative Officer Dinesh Shamdasani. “As Valiant gears up for an upcoming slate of film, television and video game releases, we felt the timing was right to begin to produce live-action digital content that would both give ours fans an experience truly worthy of the Valiant Universe, while also introducing new fans to the Valiant characters in the same way the animated television shows of the 1980s and 1990s did for comics in years past. Get ready to lose your mind – seeing Ninjak in action for the first time in nothing short of incredible.”

The secrets behind Valiant’s highly anticipated, high-octane series will be revealed on October 8th, 2016 during the VALIANT x BAT IN THE SUN: TOP-SECRET PROJECT panel presentation, only at New York Comic Con 2016! Be there as Valiant CEO & Chief Creative Officer Dinesh Shamdasani, Associate Director of Digital Media & Development Josh Johns, and directors Aaron & Sean Schoenke join stars Michael Rowe, Jason David Frank, Derek Theler, Chantelle Barry, Kevin Porter, and Ciera Foster – plus a special guest appearance by John Morrison – to unveil an exclusive first look at footage from Ninjak’s bone-breaking live-action debut. Fans in attendance will receive an exclusive giveaway item available only at Saturday’s panel, which will then be followed by an all-star cast signing at the Valiant booth (#1635).

Not at NYCC? Never fear, because fans worldwide can follow all of the major news and announcements live from the VALIANT x BAT IN THE SUN: TOP-SECRET PROJECT panel presentation live on Twitch‘s Hyper RPG channel at twitch.tv/hyperrpg! Don’t miss a moment of the action as Ninjak steps off the comic page and into Valiant’s first original series, right here with Twitch‘s Hyper RPG!

Valiant Comics CEO Hints At X-O Manowar Movie Directors

The future is looking quite bright for the Valiant Universe, and the company hopes to keep the momentum going with an expansion into other digital mediums. That includes the much talked about X-O Manowar feature that is in active development, and while there are no official announcements regarding the project, we might have a better idea now as to who will be sitting in the director's chairs.

CEO and chief creative officer at Valiant Entertainment Dinesh Shamdasani recently spoke to Variant Comics about where Valiant, and specifically X-O Manowar, is looking to expand from here. He detailed the future of X-O's book first.

"X-O's got a very very bright future. Not only are we hitting X-O Manowar #50, which is this massive run not just for X-O Manowar but for anybody today in modern comics. There's only a few characters, Batman is one of the only other characters that I can think of that's had or even approaching a run like this in the modern era."

Their foothold will remain in the comics where their success began, but they are looking to take advantage of their iconic characters, and fans will see X-O Manowar

"We always will be a comic book publisher, that's where our core is, but the nature of the beast now is these other avenues are there and it's a way for us to touch more people and bring them into comics and so we have a bunch of big video game news coming that I can't tell you about. We've got some live-action content that I can't tell you about, and we've got movies that I can't tell you about, but I can say that I wish that the directors on X-O Manowar would leak so that I could talk about them, because not only are they mind-blowingly awesome, the things they're doing with X-O Manowar will make fanboy heads explode. It's some really cool stuff, but I can't say any more than that.

Notice he said "directors" and then reiterated the point when he said "them". That automatically brings up names like the Wachowski's (Sense8), the Russo brothers (Avengers: Infinity War), the team of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The LEGO Movie), and even the slight possibility of someone like the Coen's (Fargo). If the field has to be narrowed down, the Wachowski's and the Russo's seem like the best fits for the character and the universe as a whole, and both would certainly bring a unique flavor to Valiant's flagship character.

If the field has to be narrowed down, the Wachowski's and the Russo's seem like the best fit for the character and the universe as a whole, and both would certainly bring a unique flavor to Valiant's flagship character.

That begs the question of who you would like to see take the reigns of the Valiant movie universe. Let us know in the comments!
