And then what happened in mid 00s? He lost to UFC. After UFC's successful reality TV show first season on Spike TV, the ratings skyrocketed. A new legit player in American fight entertainment. Many fans were done with phony WWE shyt, done with all that Kliq bullshyt and Triple H's burying talent for him to hold the belt. Done with storylines that make no sense and they left WWE for UFC. Straight up. Just two fighters trash talking and beating each other in the ring. And now the company that owns UFC bought WWE, lol.

In early 00s that UFC promotion was even less popular than japanese Pride FC where Yakuza's were running things or whoever the fukk was behind the scenes. Imagine someone guessing that UFC would buy WWE some day in the future back then. People would call them crazy.
