I personally feel the Jazz coach really failed to maximize Donovan Mitchell's strengths. I want to see him with another coach
And what strengths are those? A lot of dudes in the league can get you buckets like Mitchell can. He’s terrible defensively and an average passer and his offense isn’t all wordly to compensate for those shortcomings. A new coach isn’t going to change those aspects.

He’s not a #1 as much people would like to believe and the D Wade comparisons are a joke.

All of that sounds good when that player never had a great coach to bring it out of him. He's been playing in a 5 out offense predicated on jacking up 3's whenever possible. Horrible offense to match his play style. He does very well in the pick and roll

Also would love to see an offense where he is play off the ball more with a legit point guard, where he can cut more and go downhill. And not with a washed subpar Connelly
And we have no clue what he is like defensively, because the Synder's idea of defense is to funnel every opposing player to Rudy Gobert

I think it's cute that people pile on him for no reason

We know what he’s like on the floor defensively because we saw it for years unless you’d like to pretend that wasn’t the case. Gobert and Snyder’s coaching masking a lot of that teams defensive deficiencies and Mitchell himself was a turnstile during this past seasons playoffs and the numbers showed it. That whole team was outside of Gobert.

Mitchell is just going to have to improve as a passer and on defense as he won’t have Gobert now to take the blame for his shortcomings and mask his deficiencies. Other young players get that slander and Mitchell isn’t the exception. Devin Booker improved on those aspects with the slander he used to get and Mitchell can as well.

Super Average? :mjlol:
It's cool if you don't like his game but let's not exaggerate
And no I don't think there's 25 players in the NBA that dropped 30+ in half their playoff games

That’s not what he said and you know it. Yes he dropped those 30+ points in half of those playoff games bubble included, but he’s been largely inefficient and not elite outside of that. If Luka gets shyt on for his defense even with him being the lead guy and not having an elite supporting cast, then Mitchell should get that same slander as well.

If he’s that trash, Herro and Robinson should be enough to get it done

Mitchell a 3rd option masquerading as a franchise player because Utah has difficulty attracting and keeping talent

Nahhhh I'm not saying he's trash at all, but he's overhyped by a lot of dudes on the Coli who overlook his flaws just because they don't fukk with Gobert for what he did. Mitchell was getting hunted in the playoffs this past season just like Herro was. Miami would be essentially be getting the same player and overall and not that much of a upgrade worth mortgaging the farm.

The site was spazzing out at the time or Mitchell would be heavily getting that slander on here.

All he do is score.. a lot of players can give you what he does if they get 20 shots a night like him

To be fair, we were VERY close to seeing Devin Booker as the best player on a title team, and Donovan isn’t far behind him if at all.
We were also "very" close to seeing Jayson Tatum as a best player on a title team as well.
The reality is that most title teams have a former MVP as their best or 2nd best player; neither Booker nor Mitchell are MVP-level players yet.

Nah he’s better than Herro. Granted he’s older so Herro can improve, but for the Heat he’s more ready to win now. He’s an upgrade depending on what they have to give up to get him

Offensively he's better, but other than that they both have the same exact flaws that Miami love to complain about Herro having. Both got haunted in the playoffs last year (you can look at the numbers) and they aren't all worldy at other aspects of their game to overcome that.

they fukked up trading for conley especially given all that they gave up to get him (should've kept grayson allen as a shooter). they should've guided him into the PG role where it'd be easier for him to defend and have the ball in his hands learning to make better decisions, PnR, etc. him, gobert, and 3 shooters on the floor.
