verification was one of the most valuable things about the platform compared to other sites and he kneecapped it. that verification mark will lose it's coveted luster because people will tire of guessing whether the person they're following, replying or messaging is legit or not. it's like a drug dealer diluting their well known product with baking soda, don't be surprised when the userbase is no longer feelin it and go to a competitor.
