all sports are incredibly tainted in the modern era, its true. thats just the way it is unfortunately. in fact it makes me feel some kind of way about the essence of sports in general because as a kid growing up i used to really look up to these athletes and think that i could be them if i worked hard. at the end of the day thats what sports is really supposed to be for in the first place. i just cant feel the same way to certain athletes and players anymore.

thats why i feel bad for tyson gay who actually does do year-round random testing. hes the only top sprinter (and athletes in all sports in general) i know that actually subjects himself to this and he doesnt have to. the three guys that beat him in the 100 (gatlin,blake,bolt) dont.... he took 4th place in that race but... in a way... he really took first place....

There is nothing inexplicable about jamaica's domination in the sprints. From the 70s with Don Quarrie up till now Jamaica have been there or thereabouts often taking silver to USA gold. I don't see how now they're winning this is such an issue. It's not as if to say a country like Fiji with no history whatsoever came and dominated the event.

There is no explanation that could be given that would erase the doubt in your mind. But that's unfair just because he's not American.

i think gatlin is definitely cheating given the circumstances behind his comeback and his history. a lot of people in the sprinting world are saying he should give his brnze medal to gay but i know he wont. bolt and blake i dont know but they come from an area that i cant in any logical way trust. based on the doubt that is cast over everything they do in track they should be the loudest and the most ardent at proving they dont cheat. they should be part of a year round and random independent testing body. to me its like pacquiao/mayweather because if you say youre clean then why is it so hard for you to prove it by giving more samples throughout the year. its not too hard for tyson gay to do it why cant usian bolt do it.

Bolt stride pattern means he completes his 100m in 41 strides to other sprinters who do 44. He can afford to showboat. Are we gonna scrutinize everyone who breaks a WR? Or is it the ones just not from the US?

Name countries who have busted as many cheaters as America, across all sports. Surely you dont think we are the only country that has had people try to cheat.


Lewis was exonerated of those charges. Whether you want to believe he should have been or not is up to you. Also if the only drugs these athletes are on consists of over the counter cold medicine then i wouldn't really give a shyt.

Everyone is suspicious, so the playing field seems awfully leveled to me. I don't see how any one person in this discussion can weigh one country whose athletes are under independent drug tesiting over athletes whose nation lack on governing body, as if their isn't a counterbalance that taints all of these athletes as one and the same when measuring them againt each other.
