Its not some fukk shyt..its the truth..no matter who says it..and he's half black..so he has a right to say it...Malcolm X was about 35-40% white..is it some fukk shyt when he expressed the oppression he experienced from white people?...I know people who have 2 black parents who are Cole's complexion...racist cracka's aint gonna ask him what he is when they look at him..all they gonna see is a ******..do u think Huey P Newton was qualified to speak on black issues?..he was half white as well..
I dnt give a fck what racist whites think the FACT is Cole is as white as he is black so if he complaining bout whites snatching the sound...then....Ya :manny:

J Coles pro black lyrics are starting to make white folks uncomfortable.
Cacs love Public Enemy tho...

Lots of people feel Cole is boring over boring production, I can't knock em. Still haven't listened to the album but I'm not expecting much, given the last two albums.

its a reason overtly political rappers get shyt on in magazine like pitchfork, rolling stone etc. them magazines cosigning righteous raps would be like the government cosigning malcolm x or something.

j cole's mama deserves better than to be called a crook for raising him from a baby by herself and putting him through out-of-state college, that doesn't sound like thief behavior

Or it could be because most "political rappers" aren't really "political". Most popular "political" rappers are complete idiots who think their being deep by spitting some back porch, 3rd grade philosophy and conspiracies. Most of the time their music has the depth of the puddle and they have a habit of throwing out big words and they don't really understand and talking about youtube-tier conspiracies without actually having a deep understanding of well...anything. Most of them are the types that think saying things like "Democrats and Republicans are the same! The Illuminati is in control!!!" is deep. They come off as preachy and self-righteous,and no one wants to hear some pseudo-intellectual attempt to talk down to them and thinks he's hot shyt because he watched a few entry tier conspiracy videos, they aren't well read or well-versed in conspiracies and you can easily tell. Most also neglect their production, which is almost if not more important than their lyrics.

Also Pitchfork gave RJ2 a 9 and it has some political themes.
