Correct me if I’m wrong, but this aid package is basically a giant credit card for them to buy American arms.

the way it was explained to me is that it serves a purpose to keep them dependent on us while also having a trust worthy ally there. And it stimulates our economy by selling American hardware.

I do agree that the timing and optics of this is not very good
