IMO, it sounds like they were expecting these to be more Chinese spy balloons but got a little more than they bargained for. Not saying they're extraterrestrial but they may be something with a lot more mystery behind them.
Looking at some of the responses from senators after their briefing I get the picture they weren't completely in the know either as to what these 3 other objects were or their origins.
Now that our sensors are detecting more UAP, new protocols will have to be put in place on how to deal with them.
I personally think there is all kinds of shyt flying up there ranging from US black budget tech, tech from foreign adversaries, tech from private corporations, and yes tech from a non-human intelligence(s). And I don't think those in the know who're within the US government will ever be forthcoming about what's actually out there. And it may be for good reason.
