Time for another war that doesn't benefit no one other than those at Haliburton and the arms companies. :salute:

Hey brehs one thing I'm wondering is how the hell did they actually have access to the embassy in the first place? US embassies are usually damn near bunkers with a whole lot of security, I can't imagine it wans't the case in Lybia, I mean it isn't Luxemburg either there...how come no security was killed? I haven't read the details of the whole story but it seems that something went seriously wrong...was the ambassador out of the embassy went this madness happened?

thats what im thinking too...either way, libya is fukked. all of those militias have yet to be disarmed, the govt has little authority.

easy to break a country, much harder to put it back together

i want to add...the best way to transition away from rigid dictatorships is to neutralize the upper echelon of the regime, and keep the structure in tact, and slowly transition to democratic or more inclusive rule

now in some countries that cant happen because the ruling regime is going out guns blazing, ie syria

but afghanistan in 2001 is one example where that could have happened. but the americans wanted fireworks, so :manny:

1. This was a consulate
2. It was only Libyan security
3. They were attacked by a much heavier militia

for many years people pointed out the dissolution of the iraqi military as a key mistake in that particular war

and the subsequent witch hunt of Baath party members

just like in Afghanistan, even moderate Taliban were hunted down and sent to Bagram while non Pashtuns were :jawalrus:

Dumb mother fukkers think the Hindu Kush mountains will insulate them from southern vengeance

those Americans wont be there forever, Pakhtun memories last 1000 yrs

Afghanistan is a lost cause

:snoop:
