He's dumb. Depending on how they do it, Family Matters could be a nice reboot.

Around 2016-2017, he met with producers from Family Matters about doing a reboot. The idea was Steve and Laura were married and they had a science genius as a son, a young Urkel. He rejected the idea because he felt like the conditions that created Urkel's character back in the day no longer exist and won't interest people in watching a reboot. Fuller House, in his eyes, worked because of the family and the way they approached their stories. If they couldn't do something that would measure up to the original Family Matters, he wasn't interested.

I know he also said that if Michelle Thomas was still alive, that would be enough for a reboot, but without Myra, there's no tension.

Like (and true story) in Glox humble early beginnings, she once had a short stint as a teacher and one of Gab nephews was a student of Glox. During that time Gab bro was going through a rough time so Gab was kinda taking care of her nephew.

She spent a lot of time at the school and was helpful with buying things the class needed that understandingly most teachers don’t have the budget for as well as being nice to other parents and a help of the school.

It's been said more than once over the years that his character saved the show from being cancelled.

He's also made it clear that he has no interest in playing that particular character again, so you'd have to pivot in a different direction.

If he didn't want to be typecast as Urkel he should've taken up other acting gigs after Family Matters.

Urkel is one of the most iconic TV show characters of all time. And he even made it kinda cool to be smart and a nerd. He should've just kept milking it
