FUBU was Big Baller Brand before Big Baller Brand. Cuz it exposes how much disdain black folks have for companies that are really for us and by us.
No

it was very well supported and also just like big baller brand OVER PRICED.

FUBU had a lock in the urban community but nikkaz were wearing majority FAKE fubu.

all those FAKE 05 jerseys outsold the real thing. Problem is a lot of these companies could eat by simply offering reasonably priced gear for the average consumer. Their quality is not up to par with the pricing. Big Baller Brand is a horribly named and the branding is tacky as hell. Price points are absurd too.

Nike doesn't make most of their bank on Jordan or exclusive kicks, not even close... those are used to elevate the cultural currency of the brand. Create a cool factor.. in reality the shoes they sell the most are generic running shoes that EVERYONE can wear and are usually priced somewhere in the midpoint.

Yesterday we had a breh link a Black owned luxury shoe brand that can actually sell for a high price point due to it being on par with quality wise if and design wise with their competitors in that market. Big Baller Brand is not on that level... Don't blame black people for that.

FUBU created a niche then got bodied by fakes as did most of those Urban brands of that era. The average urban store was ran by brown folks who didn't discriminate on their suppliers. There were small Urban Stores with real accounts but the disparity in the price point created an obvious problem for them. People flocked to the fakes Apu had for the low. If they knew their demographics this could have easily been avoided. Cut those price points and gain volume in sales or keep them high and loose your market. The end results speak for themselves.

Even when Fubu had a resurgence with platinum line again they were bodied by fakes. In the end nikkaz didn't respect the black owned aspect of the label enough to shell out unnecessary amounts of money for it but it also wasn't worth that much.

Problem is everyone is trying to create luxury brands or high end street wear for a broke demographic. Someone could easily eat by doing basics in a mid level price point with some good quality and modern styling. Look at Japanese Retailers like uniqlo this is what they specialize in.

Big Baller Brand is a throwback to the past just off top by name. Played out from the jump. Doesn't speak to a young audience. Breh should have left the marketing to experts. Now if hipsters wanna rock fubu I ain't mad, the whole subculture is steeped in irony. I'm sure the price points will not be as high as they used to be which should have been the point in the first place.

Everyone I see rocking Fila & Fubu in 2017 is black

It's mixed for Iceberg but it always was

As for Fubu it's mainly shyt from the 90s, not anything new
I've seen FILA but people rocking FUBU and Iceberg hell nah :dwillhuh:

Iceberg is trash, Hov used to bring them up frequently in his lyrics back then. Grown men wearing sweaters with Looney Tunes characters on 'em.

I had Fubu everything up until that Fat Albert shyt. Somebody gave me a fubu shirt with Fat Albert on the front and I wore it maybe twice and got rid of it, I can't imagine wearing that shyt in 2017 definitely not with them prices, Urban Outfitters play too much.
