I didn't see any denials about what Phil was asking for BEFORE he got dumped for another guy.

Reminds me of when Phil Jackson waited until AFTER the Knicks hired Mike Woodson to say he wasn't interested in that coaching job.

As soon as reports of Phil's demands became public a couple people reported that those reports we're bullshyt put out there by the Lakers front office. I specifically remember Ric Bucher saying that shyt.

Ric Bucher says a lot of shyt though. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle of all of the crazy things that have been said but it's really hard to doubt that he had some demands. Even after those demands were reported, every news source was saying Phil was the favorite and that the job was his to turn down. It's not like there was a media smear campaign against him.

Dude has 11 rings and the fans were chanting his name a couple nights ago. If anyone can ask for some shyt like that its him. Didn't Roger Clemens have a deal worked where he wouldnt' go on road trips or something along those lines a few years ago?

I think Roger's thing was that he didn't go on road trips if he wasn't pitching in that series. People didn't like the idea but a starting pitcher doesn't really need to be around to shag balls in batting practice. A coach shouldn't be working part time.

I can't blame Phil for asking for that stuff but I also can't blame the Lakers for telling him to take his high chair and GTFO.
