I've always thought these rumors were bullshyt. They may have been legit around 2011 last year, but Sting has said he doesn't think he could survive in a WWE program and his character would be destroyed.

I've never believed there was anything to the Triple H hoping to sign Sting rumors this year.

It just seems like wishful fan thinking.

Sting/taker at mania would be great. Add rock/cena 2 , Brock/ryback, and punk/bryan and show/shamus/Ziggler for the belts

What makes this thread so funny is that if Sting was even just heavily rumored to make an appearance on the next Raw, every single hater in this thread would tune in like

Remember how nikkas was hypin' themselves up when they thought the Taker return promos was about him? :usure:

As :flabbynsick: as Sting is now, nikkas would still watch his appearances in the 'E with bated breath....wonder who he would go over, or who would go over him....wondering what the fukk they'll do with him. Sting is clearly older, but the last time I saw him he was still in OK wrestling shape. Throw a trenchcoat, hair dye and face paint on him and he can still look intimidating.....also keep him from talking (or at least let him be on some 'man of few words' shyt)

The kids don't need to be familiar with the Crow to see him as an intimidating figure....he just has to be built up and hyped right

Yet y'all are still like ":whoa: noooo don't do it....please don't do it"

Sting is still top four best talker in the biz.
Plus knows how to get over an angle.
Plus add great characterization as well.
Joker sting was the absolute best character on wrasslin programming, till db's comeuppance

So, fukk the naysayers...

sting is still brilliant,.....

I never got why Sting v. Taker was the match up everyone wanted to see.

Besides wearing black attire, what are the parallels / contrasts between the two that makes this 'must see'?

And I don't follow TNA really, has he had any memorable matches outside of the Harvey fukkery show?

Turns out Sting didn't have faith in Vince after the treatment of Dusty in polka dots too. It's a shame that the E has always had so much power and abused it,hurting themselves in the process . 9 times out of 10 if you ask someone about the American Dream they'll bring up polka dots and every CAW has him in them. Hard times indeed.

People want to see it because it's one of those dream matches that's never happened, between two iconic darkside characters who have both been huge stars and consistently over with crowds for two decades, but whose paths have somehow never crossed. (Yeah, I know their paths probably crossed before Mean Mark became the Undertaker, but you know what I mean.)

It's definitely an intriguing concept and I really wish it happened last year or preferably even before that. My problem with it now is that the longer they wait, the more work it takes to build it up. It's a different time and a different audience now. It would work if they invested huge TV time in the build, but with Rock and Brock and everybody else needing airtime too, is it even possible to do that? I just have a feeling it would feel like a letdown if it happened now because it the feud wasn't developed the right way. Sting's just been out of the spotlight too long.

I'd love to be proven wrong though. I'm a fan of both of them and respect both of them. They both have an old-school sense of loyalty about them and you don't see much of that anymore.
