It's because there rate are to high, Meltzer alluded to this last week. You can't charge $4000 a pop and expect to get dates...especially in a world where Cody, Keith Lee, and any other name that can be had at a much lower rate....if you work with promoters and put in work you can make a nice living outside.

I wonder how much some bigger indie guys charge. I went to a NWA show years ago at a VFW hall and they charging about $20 to get in. It was a decent sized crowd and the guys wrestling were decent but no way they could have been paid much. I know the bulk of Indy wrestlers have regular jobs and just wrestle on weekends or whatever.

How can higher level Indy guys make a lot of money wrestling in multiple dates in high school gyms, BTW halls, etc?
