Finally finished it. Man there was so much to unravel, and it’s crazy that even Malcolm didn’t quite understand just how deep shyt was around him.

I know this stuff has been out there but made me look at Elijah and the NOI way differently than I did before. I kinda feel like how I felt after Surviving R Kelly, I knew the story but the documentary made it so I couldn’t go back.

This right here ..... I don’t get why people can’t comprehend the noi killed Malcolm n just accept it .... I mean they tryed a few time’s from my understanding it was only a matter ov time before they killed him ....he was kind ov a hypocrite in retrospect ... he was the one tellin people don’t go to the devils (white people / white media etc ) then he did just that telling about there bizz etc that’s why they call him a traitor TIL this day .....

When did he say don't go to the media? He always acknowledged the media was a useful tool to get your point across which is why he gave so many interviews when he was with the NOI and afterwards.

1)How could Malcolm have gone to Mecca 3 times BEFORE he was sanctioned/approved to go in 1964?
Malcolm had traveled to that region of the world before, but not to Mecca. Experiencing the hajj is probably a life altering experience for most people, for a person going through the turmoil that he was at the time......it was probably even more impactful for him

2)How was the matter settled in 1962, when two of the women filed a paternity suit against Elijah Muhammad in July 1964? A legal matter that wasn't settled until years later.

Now that all said, semantics comes into play because Malcolm X said once he was INSIDE Mecca and saw himself taking the Hajj with fellow white Muslims that it reopened his eyes about whites people. And that's because he was TAUGHT that no white man can ever enter Mecca during the Hajj.

But the question is who you believe?
