As someone who has worked with celebs and PR agencies in the past....
Here's what I think happened. (I'm out of the industry now, so I do NOT have any insider details)
But what I think happened is... He did it. He's guilty of choking the white girl out. I think his PR machine went into overtime (as they should cause it's what they're being paid to do) to protect him and try to cover for him.
And here's where it went wrong. If some of the reports about his personality are to be believed, dude has a tough personality to deal with (most celebs have bad attitudes).
I think he panicked, thinking his career was over, and demanded that his PR team get out there and tell the public that there was "video and text messages" that exonerated him. I think his team knew that wasn't a good idea. Anybody who saw those texts knew that wasn't going to go over well.
However, I think dude demanded they do it on some "I'm paying you, do what I tell you to do! ". And upon release of the texts, it made him look like a damn fool, and made him look guilty.
I think his PR team probably looked at him like after this, and told him to let them handle it their way. But if the rumors are to be believed, and Feige and @Bryan Danielson was looking at replacing him as Kang, I think he panicked again and demanded action from the PR agency, not realizing that sometimes no action is the best course of action. Let it die down a little bit.
But I think he probably refused to do so, and they said, "you know what? Since you so good at PR, then represent yourself, we out "
Again, I have no facts to back this up, as I'm out of the industry now. But this is the only scenario I can see happening to get us to where it is.
Because PR agencies don't drop you cause you got in trouble, or beat a woman up. There have been celebs accused of some heinous crimes, and their PR agents didn't abandon them until there was a conviction in a court of law.
Something else had to have happened behind the scenes for them to leave Majors.

Again if he had video evidence that cleared him he should have released that shyt.
The only thing about this case that has me stumped is why did HE call the police if he choked her out? Even if he is with a white woman, he could not be THAT stupid to think a him versus her would go his way, no matter his celebrity.
These are all facts. On top of that, white men can choke slam white women ON CAMERA and shyt is still ALL GOOD.
Only reason to do so is if he truly didnt do nothing. It's looking sketchy, but the video needs to drop.

Either he didn't do it or he is in the Jussie Smollett stupid hall of fame. No black man is going to call the police on a white woman in a domestic situation unless he really didn't do it or he is such a narcissist that he does not know what black man versus white woman in this country really means. We will find out which it is.
whatever the case may be...if he truly put hands on her....what a fukkin idiot.IF that's what happened he probably panicked cause reports said "she passed out" and that was the reason according to him for the call.
Went from never to rareIt's rare breh, it's usually PAWGs
How many of them lost multi millionaire deal contracts?Jamar Chase's black girlfriend is doing it right now lol. XXX's girlfriend did it before he died. Slim Jxmmi's girlfriend/baby mom too. You really gonna sit on the internet and say we don't have a decade of black chicks doing this to rappers and athletes? Women who get beat/abused don't always go to the cops, but it happens...and it's not regulated to one race. You've got to be an idiot to believe that.
