Again, at this point its all about public perception. Don't release shyt unless there's zero ability to misinterpret anything other than what you're trying to prove. There's a reason he hired a female attorney. It doesn't look good to the public when a man is saying a woman that is allegedly a victim of domestic violence is making shyt up.

With no video, someone easily reads that text and can say that it sounds like battered women syndrome, her taking blame for it, telling the police that nothing happened, saying she'll fix it. Women can easily relate that to something they've gone through or a sister, a friend, a coworker.

I can't lie, I'm thinking the same thing. I've worked in the PR industry. No way a lawyer or publicist thought this was the move. Majors must have forced it.
