Jay gonna let the interns manage Jimmy's "brand" for the experience.
Jayz had no input or dealings with Nas' contract with Def Jam. Nas signed a multi million dollar deal with Def Jam that LA Reid initiated and negotiated with Nas. I know you're trying to fit Nas into your scenerio that Jayz is signing all those he beefed with as some sort of boss move but I assure you Nas does not fit into your narrative. During the time LA Reid reached out to Nas to bring his talent to the label Jayz was nothing more than a long term artist and a short term employee at Def Jam and his signature was NEVER needed or implemented when it concerned Nasir Jones. To quote Jayz, "Nas and I really have a good relationship." They used their individual dealings at Def Jam to build a partnership and both moved on to bigger and better ventures outside of Def Jam.waaaaayminnnute
Jay signs Nas at Def Jam... signs Fat Joe and Jimmy to Roc
clearly he on some egotistical shyt and signing everyone he beefed with just to say they work for him, right?
I would have some work for Jimmy if i ran a label, wouldnt be as an artist though
Not even saying hes bad,i definitley loved some of his shyt, but i wouldve gave all those records to somebody else....and wouldve gave Stack a extra verse on those mob tapes, and took off Jimmy

Jim Jones Signs Management Deal With Roc Nation
Jay Z seems to be in a conciliatory mood of late: three weeks after bringing former rap nemesis Fat Joe into the Roc Nation family, Dipset rapper (and another former thorn in Jay's side) Jim Jones has also signed a management deal with Roc Nation, a source confirmed to Billboard. As part of the deal, Roc will handle Jones' music, fashion, acting and other ventures.
The Harlem MC, alongside his fellow Diplomats members Cam'ron and Juelz Santana, has had issues with Hov for over a decade, dating back to the early-mid 2000s when Dipset was signed to Def Jam/Roc-a-Fella Records, and the subsequent division between Roc co-founders Jay and Dame Dash. Jones and Jay exchanged diss tracks several times over the years -- most notably when Hov flipped Jones' No. 5 Hot 100 hit "We Fly High" into "Brooklyn High" in 2006 -- but the two have now seemed to have set their differences aside.
"As you get older you realize that most of your peers are either dead or in jail,” Jones said in a quote provided to Billboard. "The fact that we can move past the BS is a testimony [to] how much we have grown."
Lol my dude said this the other dayRoc Nation really is turning into Koch
I wonder if they repealed his ban at the 40/40 if he's going to sell D'usse
