Thought so, I can faintly remember there was a couple of month where no one even spoke about WWE and everyone cared about the weirdly shaped ring and Aj Styles,Samoa Joe and Chris Daniels(or something like that)

Never came close to beating them in the ratings though but the in ring product and even the storylines were good.

I haven't watched TNA/GFW since the Hardyz & Jade (Mia Yim) left :yeshrug:.

Hopefully the company somehow stays afloat, because it's great to have another viable option besides WWE.

Their run from 2007-2010 was loaded with talent.

That run still contained some terrible TNA years (09-10). Their best years were 02-06. Around that time, they were truly an alternative instead of WWE-lite. The crazy thing about the years you mentioned is those were some of the worst WWE years since 1995, and instead of TNA capitalizing on that, they became worse :mjlol::snoop:

GFW CREATIVE UPDATE, CORRECTION FROM A FEW DAYS AGO AND MORE NEWS | PWInsider.com

The Impact creative team going forward will be headed by John Gaburick, Sonjay Dutt and Scott D'Amore. It is not a case of Gaburick being in charge of creative again. The trio will be leading the creative together with Dutch Mantel, Jeremy Borash and Abyss also having input and assisting with different creative duties.

In regard to the Justin Barrasso report on Sports Illustrated's website that Anthem is seeking to sell off GFW, we are told that in meetings this week, all discussion was about plans going forward and there was no inkling of plans to shut down or sell off the video library. We've heard nothing from the WWE end that such discussions are underway and they would be the most likely buyer. Although any discussions would be attempted to be kept under wraps as long as possible, my personal belief is that with WWE in cost-cutting mode and having slowed down other aspects, such as original WWE Network programming, they likely aren't looking to rush into a major acquisition,

There was also a report circulating in the last day that Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported Anthem was shutting down the office in Nashville and moving everything to Toronto. We are told that during meetings earlier this week, Ed Nordholm was specifically asked about this by a staffer and said there were no plans to do such a move. Long-term, I think it makes the most sense as Anthem has a studio and an infrastructure in Toronto, so it makes more sense to have everything in-house as opposed to renting out studio space in Nashville.

In regard to Karen Jarrett, I inferred several days ago that she was done here. That was an error on my behalf and I apologize for that. I have been told that no decision has been made on where things stand with her.

Jeff Jarrett's Twitter bio now notes, "Several new projects on the way…Bookings, email JJ4Jarrett@gmail.com"

Tonight's episode of Impact Wrestling was put to bed before this week's changes.

What makes me laff, is the same ppl caping for TNA/Global Galactic Forces wanna shyt on Vince n say he outta touch, WWE on its last leg. WWE in they CRAPPIEST rut nowhere near as bad as Jarrett/TNA

:russ:
You would have probably been one of those that would've stuck with the wwe in the savio Vega and oddities days when things were poppin at WCW because you can't distinguish between a good in ring product that's poorly run as oppose to a shytty product that's run like a well oiled machine.

that's moreso to the fault of so-called wrestling fans.
nobody wants to admit that tho.

btw, '09 TNA was dope. and that '07-09 era was excellent.

Exactly. I think if TNA started right after the WCW merger or after the InVasion storyline, they could've caught some disgruntled former WCW fans who watched right to the very end.

Once those guys left wrestling, they had to deal with fans who largely had WWE brand loyalty.

yeah I am not sure what dude was talking about the only time WWE was better than TNA was when hogan/bishoff came on board and they tried to make it a cheap imitation this was 2010, It never recovered from that reign of terror till this year. Lol at that one comment that TNA's best production was when it was on Destination America. It looked like a local road show you see on the street corner with posters of :flabbynsick:rasslers you thought were long retired posing to boost ticket sales. How anyone can say it was better than when it was on spike is laughable
