But I can give props to some of the mega church guys as far as they skill in motivating and speaking.

This dude Joel Osteen is complete trash and I just don't see how anyone can get into his bullshyt

You must be a distant cousin. My mom and I watch his programming every once in again for shyts and giggles. He sounds like a one of those stoner pre-school teachers who is extra encouraging to their students. We mock his soft spoken voice and repeat idioms to each other after watching for the entire day. I guess he is good for those who are new to Christ need esoteric principles presented in a rudimentary way.

Funny enough my dad is not religious at all but will listen to Joel. Even bought audio cds as a gift that he listens to sometimes.

I have examined the claims of Christ that's why I'm more of a follower of Him.

You completely disregarded the main point of my post. Whether it is his own is irrelevant. If he believes it to be the truth after doing his own critical analysis, then so be it.

Regardless, religion is not his filter. His life experiences are his filter. Religion is just information, which passes through his filter. You likely have received a lot of the same information, but your filter of life experiences has led you to a differing conclusion about spirituality.

With regard to his comment about killing someone. I believe it was under the premise of someone "running up on him". What's the problem with that? I don't think there is anything in religion about not using deadly force to protect you and your family's lives.
