Off the top of the head, what are the Mavs doing differently this year from last year?
I always said Doc is better than Lue. Lue is a better offensive mind than Doc but against Dallas and their offense, you need defense.
Straight up, one of PG or Kawhi is gonna have to sacrifice their offense and expend all their energy guarding Luka

was he one of the guys they paid so the lakers wouldn't get him?
They been pretty hot during the 2nd half of the season. Their role players are much better shooters this year outside of the lost of Curry. There is no Curry to abuse on defense for LAC. LAC is having trouble finding a weak defender. Obviously KP is weak outside of the paint but even then, he's not weak. The biggest thing is Luka is just better this year. He is picking his spots better as well but let's be real about this series, PG13 had to guard Luka. In this series, Lue has them guarding the others. Doc wasn't going for that. Lue is doing the same shyt he did in Cleveland. He wants to preserve his top guys but against Luka, you gotta throw it all at him. Also, last year, KP got hurt. There was a chance Dallas could have won the series last year.

No, they traded for him and then extended him. Not sure why they did all that if they are not gonna use him. The FO and coaching staff does not seem on the same page

Makes no damn sense either. I remember he single handedly beat us with Mann when we played the Clips in the 2nd RS game. I was wrong with Lue in Cleveland, I'll give you this one @Gil Scott-Heroin. Lue ain't it. You called it in Cleveland.
