we have to change that culture of making it equals nonblack. :aicmon:
im glad youre laying the foundation and being the change you want to see.
we need more forward thinkers, job creators, and investors.
we ned moe black finance specialist, people to teech about money.
we need to hold the black elite accountable too.
all that new black/ elitist shyt is counterproductive.
invest in your people!
and owning farms & land is a good way to make sure our people eat literally and figuratively.

I think its more so the idea that Western expats will not bring any significant change to Africa. That will com from the working class of Africans, just like it will in Black America.
yea, As an African if you see a Wealthy black come to Africa and set up shop and just enjoying the resources but bringing nothing to the table then they think you are no better than the cancerous people there, and Its probably an even bigger slap in the face since you came from another nation to do it. In America we don't have this issue because c00n Blacks and Wealthy non Blacks don't step foot in Black areas, besides when they are gentrifying it and by then the middle class/poor blacks were already removed from the area one way or the other (bought out, home foreclosed, etc)

Keep losers and homos away from your kids.

I thought I was the only one who thought this. I've dated plenty of women who had gay best friends and I've always wondered, "What would happen if I started a family with this girl? I can't have her fakkit friend around my children."

Religion Aside (as I am not a member of the NOI), Elijah Muhammad literally laid the blueprint of what blacks need to do and the NOI during his tenure was living proof. I often sound like a NOI minister nowadays because I start much of my sentences with "well the Hon Elijah Muhammad said.."

But dude literally stressed a simply plan
Economic Independence
Education Independence
Make Health a priority.

He literally looked at the great that Garvey, Dubois, Booker T Wash, etc did and tailored it to the Black of Today.

I think the NOI of his day is the blueprint of what our Generation needs to look at, not from the Religious aspect (thats another subject), but a strict code of how to move and operate. These cats had planes, trucks, banks, numerous businesses, schools, etc.

Brehs need to move to Atlanta, they literally giving houses away in Black Communities around the downtown area (tons of grant money) and whites are buying it up, while stupid blacks moving to the burbs (because they think the areas in the city are too hood), and buying homes that are losing value and have to sit in terrible traffic all day. I`m debating on making a thread since I see so many on here talk about moving to Atlanta, but I don't like wasting time on people who aren't about action. I got a Loan Officer and Agent ready for dudes too (no I don't make a dime, I`m just trying to make sure the remaining historic neighborhoods remain black that weren't already gentrified).

Make the thread.

My pops bought like 10 acres of land there that he's turning into farm land and residential housing, I know he had to go back to talk business with some people from Morehouse School of Med because they are trying to do business with the local hospital or something like that. I`ll ask him how it is for non Liberians who want to invest. But land is dirt cheap by american standards. You can buy lots of land in Monrovia for 1k lol. Liberia and the other coastal nations literally look like the DR, Jamaica, etc so I don't understand why we aren't trying to make these places Economic Paradise.
nobody knows. knowledge is power, and people will keep it from you if you dont know where to find it.
people are afraid of Africa because they dont know the truth.
thats why we have to use opportunities like this to educate each other.
it really is the most beautiful continent bar none.
i was leery of Liberia once i found out about the civil war; i didnt know if they wanted Americans there.:lupe:

Also, unless you are rich and can buy bonds, real estate, start a small business, etc or you plan to move there, "investing" is damn near impossible.

Lack of manufacturing, electricity, cable lines, people with bank accounts, absurdly high cross border/ postage fees and overused infrastructure (ports, road), just to name a few, all have to be resolved.

We will have to wait.

I'm familiar with the corruption in the Nigerian government as well as the instability in infrastructure. The reason why I'd accept that over the US is because that can be fixed. The politics can work itself our and the infrastructure can be upgraded. Those problems are fixable.

You're right, but this talk about investing in Nigeria is a bad idea at the moment. The people in power do not have the country's best interest at heart, and it may take a legitimate revolution before things can turn around for the better. Until then, Nigeria is a country of cutthroats that you really don't want to be involved with.

With Boko Haram in the North

Biafrans wanting independence

And Lagos sealing itself off

Nigeria may balkanize and not exist a decade from now.

It's funny, because that pretty much sounds like America, just with white supremacy sprinkled on top of the corruption.

Isn't Liberia one of the places hit hardest with ebola?
