Three days later, Laurence's parents received a call from a woman who claimed that she had him and that she was planning on returning him. The FBI and Chicago police found no trace of him or his kidnappers, and the search was later called off.

this is technically unsolved. The dude alleged to have killed Drew Carey's ex fiancee wanted to be a comedian. he BOMBED. My 2 guilty pleasures in 1, comedians bombing and true crime lmao
