Sexual preference aside, don’t two mothers or two fathers throw the balance out of whack? I don’t have an opinion either way though. I can see arguments for both sides

No. And ive dealt with this situation personally as a case manager. abuse and sexual abuse arent exclusive to the gay community, what really matters is having two people who want a child.

This forum looks more and more like r/conservative everyday

Get your panties out of a bunch breh. You nikkas love being sensitive. A mothafukk end his statement with “I don’t have an opinion either way” and you mounting your high horse talking about the forum looking more conservative blah blah blah. I asked a legit question from a non biased perspective. You have a unique perspective from the field you in and I respect it, but I can’t stand when nikkas be in here generalizing and shyt based off a few responses they don’t like. There are 14 no votes to yes, so the numbers indicate the opposite of what you are alluding too. Most people seem to have no issue from the poll results. That means when I bring up something like I did, it’s not from a place of malice, but from a perspective of this is an open discussion and interesting topic, let me ask some questions and see what people think. I give game on here and I get game. And I talk shyt lol. I hate when people try to lump you in with some fukking cacs because of an opinion...or in this case a question. That ain’t cool

Actually it’s very unselfish to adopt. Gay couples looking for donors and asking people to be surrogates when there are children who need adopting is selfish.

I know you ain’t mean nothing by it since you work in the field. I’m totally an outsider. I do know it’s a big need for people to adopt. I was just speaking to how we are all taught that a mother and a father is the best way to raise kids. Like if the father or mother is not in the house, that’s not optimal. So my question was just kind of saying, we know that only having one parent can come with some challenges, so is it the same for both parents, but of the same sex? Cause you have both parents, but are missing a male or female parent figure. From a sociology standpoint, is that a big deal? I know it’s not a deal breaker, but I’m sure this has been studied or discussed before cause it’s a fair question.

I agree. Raising kids properly stops being about you and more about cultivating the best environment for balanced growth for the child.

What most wont admit is that many gays adopt children so they can re-live their childhood vicariously through them by exposing them to all the "non-conventional" things their own parents protected them from. This is why you have gay adults dressing their adopted boys in dresses and painting their fingernails when they obviously did not ask for it.

I mean, if you expose a child to unfiltered flamboyancy from birth, why would you expect them to be well adjusted in society as they grow older? Especially when they are raised by adults who are also dealing with a lot of issues they very likely suppressed and never addressed through therapy and all other healthy avenues? :yeshrug:

I do think its best to have a mom and dad in the house but I don't have anything against gay couples adopting or even having kids biologically. I have seen online where gay men and lesbians would coparent or get together to try to live a heterosexual lifestyle....I'm ok with that too. A lot of kids need homes and good parents....as long as the parent isn't toxic or abusive and try to do a proper job parenting...what's the issue? Abuse and toxic parenting isn't only applicable to homosexuals and lesbians.

No offense to anybody but, I do NOT support or trust kids being in the hands of gay ppl/couples. I rather the kids stay in the system and wait for a heterosexual person/couple to step in and adopt.
So if I'm a kid, it's in my best interests to remain in kiddie jail instead living in a loving home with my education paid for.
