Because the poor cacs who benefited from it would fight against it if the gop told them too. Also I’ve personally saw with my own eyes some black folks who benefited from programs like this say all politicians are the same and they still aren’t aren’t voting .

As long as America is still the country that doesn't apologize for and try to make amends for slavery and the subsequent state-sanctioned terror that followed it, there's no way in hell they'd ever let white tax dollars go towards anything that would put black people on an even playing field. We just aren't that country yet. I'll always vote for it if it's an option on the local level though, like if a state wants to give people a form of UBI or debt relief, I'm voting for that and telling everyone I know about it.
I just don't see it happening on a federal level, especially not with the 'republicans' we have on Capitol hill

It'll be called a socialist policy and all the people who have been brainwashed to believe capitalism is the only way will shun it and continue to vote for the politicians that are against. Then in a twist, those same people will complain about the government fukking people over and how the government needs to do this and that.

Just trying to get a business loan, which has to be paid back, is hard enough to get in black communities. And white folks are going to vote to just give it away? Notice how the New Deal has been chiseled away. When did that start? Around when the Civil Rights act was signed and blacks got their full rights. Hell, we saw what happened with Black Wall Street. It was Jim Crow. Separate but equal. Black folks were doing their thing, with the restrictions in place, and whites couldn't handle that success. They felt something was being taken away from them. That they would have all that stuff if it wasn't for the blacks. Not saying that UBI shouldn't be fought for, but know the fight that's coming.

That's touchy...stuff like that is falsely being blamed for inflation, unfortunately. Look at the blowback student debt relief is getting....Democrats are choosing their battles going into midterms.
