this is a very oversimplified way of looking at it tho and leads to nothing being done because that's not possible.
It's very possible, just gotta stop bending to the will of corporations lobbying for slave labor, REALLY close the border, and deport people. Other countries do it, why can't we?

the first reason why is because some of these people have minor children who are american citizens


on top of that there is the issue with our agricultural operations in the country.

it can't just be as simple as deport everyone, it can't be open borders (which it isn't rn, Biden out here deporting mfs too)

a lot of these people are coming here claiming asylum due to drug related violence in their country, where we've trafficked in arms to their cartels, where our drug policies prop up cartels.


all of these things have to be addressed in a complicated way and it no one wants to do it because of their political interests
