That's not a diss and he's 100 percent right. Guys like Action Bronson, Joey Badass, etc... all have labels pushing them online, and use blogs as promotion, and treat them like their "authentic underground hip hop acts" when in actuality they all have the same marketing teams pushing them, just using the underground/internet as a means of promotion.

Why you think it's always the same 5 "underground" rap acts that always get promoted on these blog sites. I know y'all don't think it's cause they make the best music
@Poitier made a post talking about an internet cabal consisting of the top indie/hipster/hip-hop bloggers, producers, djs, and how they would congregate on various websites and chats.

One of their products was a female rapper who got a top buzz, was on some pitchfork/fader end of the year lists, played a couple of shows, was featured in brand lookbooks for Mishka, and was hot with the hipster bloggers. This was last year...but she pretty much disappeared after this exposal.

I say product because she WAS a product. They basically found some girl, one person wrote lyrics for her, one person made beats, and 100 or so bloggers featured her music on their blogs and they manufactured her buzz like that.

Technically, between all of us on the Coli, we could do the same thing and troll the industry.

So in this regard, what sole is saying is technically correct.

I know his team. U guys can keep cooking up these theories but I witnessed the come up. They were recording in free studios and just stanning weezy hard. Until J prince made the connect they were not affiliated. Drake and Wayne recorded ransom, man of year on some mutual respect shyt. Ransom being a failed line designed by his boy oliver. Its hilarious this crap y'all conjure up. The true innovator of fake Indy movement is Wiz

Part of the reason the same artists pop up on sites is because of relationships.

For example, Action does a favor for 2 dope boyz by giving them some interview or access to him at the shows, bam they are more likely to post his new shyt up.

Odd Future wasn't 'ghost a&r'd' but once they got a buzz in LA a well known manager did step in and work out that deal for them.

Ive heard the nikka was signed even during So Far Gone. Watch the Lil Wayne Documentary by QD3. You see a quick shot of Drake and this was prob 2008 right before The Carter 3 came out.

What's so surprising about this? So Far Gone was his third mixtape :what:
