Monroe is a bad defender but he is a very good low post scorer and rebounder. He would be good for our second unit offense creating matchup problems against opponents. If we can somehow get Tyreke without giving up our core rotation guys, that would be big for us. He would be a good insurance policy this year if Gordon doesn't come back. Marcus is gone, but I'd rather wait till the offseason to get rid of him, even if it means not getting anything in return, unless we get a player for him this year that can help in the playoffs. As dumb as he is on offense, we would need him to defend Steph and Klay if we somehow make it to the finals. Hopefully his absence has opened Brad and Marcus' eyes that we should run the second unit offense through Terry, instead of Marcus dribbling the ball for 15 seconds trying to run a two man game or calling his own number. shyt, i'd be happy if the second just ran that little three man weave at the top of the key instead of Marcus pounding the ball like Sam Cassell in 95.

If we get Tyreke that gives us some flexibility as to what we do in the offseason. We can try to re-sign him, if he goes somewhere else there would still be a slim chance we match Marcus' contract if it's within a reasonable price. If another team is stupid enough to pay him big money than he's gone like Evan Turner.

With all that said, we might end up not getting anyone that's a difference maker this year at the deadline.:francis:

Theis probably going to the bushes now
Theis will be fine, specially now that he's hot from 3, he can play the 4 and is too versatile on defense. Baynes' minutes will suffer, he hasn't been playing well for a long time, too many dumb fouls and not enough paint protection.

Honestly not too sure about trading for Lou Will. He's obviously been fantastic in the regular season, but he's historically a terrible playoff performer. Like Lou's playoff shooting percentages are damn near on par with Smart's...and that is NOT a good thing. Is it really a good idea to give up assets to trade for a vet for the playoff stretch when said vet has a history of not showing up in the playoffs?

Can’t just be smart there would have to be second player involved and probably another pick

I'm fine with a second unit of Smart/Rozier/Monroe/Morris. That's enough offense from the perimeter and now inside with Monroe. Smart/Rozier perimeter defense is gonna shut people down. I say we keep that tandem for the playoff run this year. Playoffs is all about defense since everything slows down anyways.
