even if we all lived in tents and huts...at a certain point the planet is going to hit the reset button and start over

Humans arent the be-all, end-all of this shyt

We arent Gods...the show will end

Yup. Human civilization been like 6,000 years old. That's not even a sneeze for the planet. Even as a species, 200k years old is nothing for Earth so whatever we are doing is but a blip.

Our stupidity when it comes to this kind of shyt is pretty staggering tbh. It's the kind of dumb ass shyt you read in history books and think how could humans be so damn stupid. And here we are :heh:

Its the Republicans and Democrats. Democrats are not serious about global warming.

They're not serious about it but they do at least acknowledge it and are at least willing to do a bare minimum. And at least for the foreseeable future, the Democratic party is the only vehicle by which we can address climate change.

I personally think China is in the best position to radically change their society in response to climate change. Democracy (at least the ways its practiced in the US) stifles progress on this issue because it depends on whether or not the populace is smart enough to vote for politicians who want to do something about it. The vast majority of Americans have no clue how severe this issue is and a large number of them deny the problem exists in the first place.

It’s not the time to say, “I believe in science,” while doing little to nothing substantial about fossil fuels and global warming. Democrats are as uninterested, expect for presentation sake.

I can see The global south in general changing things before the US.
