what disease have the UN socalled peacekeepers stopped...last I heard they only brought/spread disease to Haiti...I'm not saying Haitians didn't need help but the West are hurting Haitians alot more than helping and thus should leave.

Again the thing you keep ignoring is those corrupt Haitin officials are pawns of the West and are looking after the interest of their Neo Colonial masters above their people...To just blame the Haitian govenment but not the Western government whom really control Haiti is short sighted.

Unlike you I believe in the Haitin people and am completely confident that Haitin people independently and without Western interference/sabotage can rebuild Haiti into a prosperous functioning society by themselves.

how would haiti rebuild, feed, and treat the injured without help? you realize the earthquake destroyed pretty much their entire infrastructure. asking the un to leave under the premise the haitians could do it on their own would be plain stupid. they just gonna get everything they need out of thin air?

i've already conceded outside influences do damage in the haitian gov, however, these are haitians that are allowing that to happen. how long can you blame someone else for haitians not standing up for what's right? at some point they will have to take responsibility for their own and not fall to the corrupt influence. got to stop playing the victim and empower yourself if you want to win.

look i also believe in the haitian people. i've never suggested i don't. what i am saying is the good haitians that won't give into corruption and won't be tainted by power need to stand up and take action. they have the power to vote and hold people accountable. i also believe they DO need help to get to the point where they can be self sufficient. then they can invite the helpers to leave or kick them the hell out.

my main issue with where you're coming from seems to be a lot of finger pointing and not enough responsibility taking. that's all.

I think we can all agree that the principal problem with Haiti is the government. Who allowed 'evil white people' into the country? Who setup the laws that makes it impossible to create a flourishing business? Who setup the laws that discourages foreign investments? Who's oppressing the middle/lower class?

When I get my MBA I want to invest into this country and start various different businesses (a hotel chain, restaurants, banks, casinos, schools, hospitals, etc.) but I'm afraid that the shytty, fukked up, and corrupt government is going to get in the way. Unfortunately it's like that for Haiti and African countries as well.

While I have my suspicions i'm not sure about this current government but Port Auprince's political elite has been puppet personally put in place by the West for a while now..Your insistance on blaming the Haitian government but not the the Western Iperalsim whom are really calling the shots in Haiti is like blaming African governments for their people's suffering during colonization.

Nah..the West has it's finger prints all over Haiti's government and still taxing Haiti for winning thier indepdence among many harmful policies to keep the country poor and destabalized.

The Hiatins people developed Haiti to an respectable level for a 3rd world country that's been shunned and intentionally blackballed by the most powerful nations in the world so I don't see why they can't do it agaan but better.

Haitians have no control over mother nature? Why should they be blamed for a being unable to cope with one of the worst naturally catastrophe due largely in part to the West styming their ability to develop econmically and their infrastructure for more ethan a century..I agree Haitins can start empowering themselves by stop relying on their oppressor whom wants to see them fail, liberate their country of the UN occupiers, and rebuild it themsleves...If Hait does need help they should look East(to places like China) like their peers in Africa whom are rapidly develping at a pace much faster than anything that occured thorugh their interacton with Western aid cause unlike whitey the Chinese don't want to see blacks fail cause they feel keeping them weak is in their best interest.

The West are vulture's feeding off the blood and pain of the Haitin people..Who else would I point the finger at? the Earthquake victim whom had thier waters poisoned by feces and children raped by the UN troops, etc?:stopitslime:

haitians developed their country into a respectable 3rd world country? :what:

come on b. how will haitians rebuild their country themselves when they don't have the raw materials, collateral, or funds to do any of that? don't take that as a dig against the people of haiti because it's not. it's a realistic view that they can't do it by themselves. ask any haitian and they will admit the same. they NEED the help to get back on their feet. unless you know something they don't...

you keep blaming the west and then you suggest they turn to the chinese??? :mindblown: them asians would bust a gut laughing at you for that. haiti has no economic or natural resources worth them investing in. the island has already been stripped of every valuable resource except its agricultural stuff. so for what reason would the chinese invest in haiti???

you realize most of haiti's wealth is controlled by less than 1% of the population right? haiti is also one of the most corrupt carribean nations. you can't blame that all on the west. even if you remove the imperialist bad guys from the room, haiti still has a huge problem. you think those 1% want to give up control of their wealth for the betterment of the country? they have no incentive! they would be perfectly happy with haiti remaining a "respectable 3rd world country".

i'm trying to stay with on this, but you seem to be in complete denial about the reality of the challenges facing haiti right now. do you really know the history of the country, the economic and soci-economic history? and not just the history since the earthquake. this cholera issue put a battery in your back, but you got to look deeper than post earthquake haiti b. do the knowledge on the history of the country. understand what it takes to rebuild a 3rd world country that had its infrastructure and already weak economy completely destroyed. haitians are a strong people and have fought a lot of adversity, but leaving them to do this by themselves with no help would be completely disastrous. since you continue to be delusional about that point, we gonna have to agree to disagree.

and if you're trolling me with this 'they don't need the help' nonsense my haitian folk gonna slap some funky voodoo on your azz.

I wouldn't even bother responding to OP as he's a known idiot. If you convey an idea he disagrees with he'll just get defensive and call you a 'cac' or 'anti-Haitian' or some stupid shyt. He can barely type properly so either he's mildly retarded or still in middle school.

I'm not very familiar with the story. Is there any proof the UN brought the cholera in to Haiti? Usualy in a disaster situation where sanitation is compromised increased desease is to be expected.
