I've been saying this.....If he really wants large sums he needs to go to upper middle class black people and middle class black people, instead of solely focusing on lower working class black folks who's combines income does not exceed $55,000. He does not do this because he WILL have to come correct and bring the right plans. Look I want the school to come about, but nobody is above questions. I want to see a black man succeed so I am wondering if I am just putting down another black man. I do not want to do this, BUT he has no reliable plans. Not even a ten year business plan for the school.

Name a famous black person who have donated money to the Nation of Islam, which have countless examples of proof that they actually do work? I'm not saying they can not donate low key too
But my point is that, there's a reason why Money May will take pictures donating to certain efforts and not others

You are beyond right. I do not want to accuse anyone of being a sexual predator or anything like that. With that being said I would never send my kids there. My future husband and father of my children will be a great role model for my kids. I'm an agnostic and will marry an agnostic/atheist.

Also if he builds this school I WOULD NOT be surprised if some chicks came back pregnant or he was messing around with them. I had a professor just like him. He would preach about black issues and etc. I did not like him romantically or have any interest in him like that. Dude wore Dashikis and spoke against white supremacy. He did a lot for the community. Anyways we spoke a lot about the same thing. Now mind you this man is 64 and I am 20. He recently asked me to be his wife. He said I'm the prettiest girl he has ever seen and he wants to go traveling with me and wants me to have his kids. He also does not believe in marriage but has a 4 year old daughter by a 28 year old woman. I like older men and prefer men 10-20 years my senior, but I was like hell no and RAN for the hills. I later found out through a friend that he was also hitting on her.

Do you know what the HCZ was prior to becoming the HCZ of today? It was the extra efforts and sacrifices of a few individuals from different city funded services, that setup home base at a public school. Remove the funding, free housing, and dedication of those individuals, the vision of Geoffrey Canada's HCZ would still be a work in progress

Also the need to gain public and private donations by omitting the wording that explicitly says "improving the black community and family," should not be ignored because government funding and even rich black folks don't want to get caught up in anything that could be skewed as funding discrimination programs

If you ever been the point person and/or support system for college tours, after school program, summer camp, young adult leadership academies, and career guidance programs, which I have been, then you would know that it takes more than individual efforts,individual resources, and individual sacrifices to successfully do such things

Because the Nation has built many schools and businesses. Umar hasn't even held a summer camp.

His demographic is struggling single mothers, a lot of whom he obviously wants to fukk both literally and figuratively.

But there's a lot of young black people on this site and a few I see on FB who support this clown and don't see what an obvious fraud he is, and that is surprising to me.

It comes down to education, I guess. I knew dude was a bullshyt artist from day one before he even mentioned a school.

I have enough knowledge to instantly see that a lot of the shyt he talked was grossly factually inaccurate fearmongering nonsense, and that combined with the fact he was shamelessly seeking celebrity and stroking his own ego let me know he was a charlatan.

That's why it's important to fact check things people say. If I spot one lie or blatant factual inaccuracy that's too glaring to be a simple oversight, I automatically write that person off because if they lie about one thing, what else are they lying about?

Alot of people blindly supported this effort.

It's sad and disappointing mainly because this type of thing is really detrimental towards the investment of REAL schools for young black men and women. It makes it seem like a joke. Especially in a time when HBCU's are struggling financially and focus is put towards state institutions that really don't provide anything other than at most..a license to be an employee at the white collar level. But not the CEO, President, VP...where's the alternative? Or where will it be years down the line

Hate to be the one dealing with hypotheticals but if it was a crowd filled any other race of people...the whole auditorium or banquest hall that was rented out for the presentation. Or whatever....wouldof just walked out of the room. Straight up. I would of. Every single presentation of doubt towards his integrity? Was right there in that 4:00 clip.

Then again, we really don't see the crowd from that perspective so maybe people were walking out of that room.
