Well Quincy appears quite happy playing in Moscow from what I can tell. Plus the other two ladies who "defected" to play for the Russian basketball team are some of the best players in the WBA. They definately would have made Team USA but chose to play for Russia. Why?

Jammier Faulkner is nothing more then a role player in the WNBA and Epiphany Prince went to play professionally in Russia right out of college. I would assume the money she could make in Russia is more then what she would make in America. While there she was probably offered the chance to become a Russian citizen and get guaranteed playing time. Something she might not have got if she was playing for the USA.

Clearly both players felt comfortable enough playing there and I hope they have been treated properly.

Don't know. There's enough racist BS in Russia without the WC. Someone have already said black players get treated like shyt from opposition teams and Africans who come there to study have to always be cautious in case of unprovoked racial attacks.

Epiphanny Prince was playing for Chicago Sky when she opted to be a Russian citizen. Jammera Faulkner is one of the top stars of the Chicago Sky. Now, the question is why Black Americans with a promising career in the States would opt to play for Russia?
