i fukk with poet from copa90 and filthyfellas, but he should know better than that.
with events like the world cup and the olympics, they set up a bubble to shield the public from the negative parts of the country.
just like what happened in brazil. people stayed in the olympic village and left saying "brazil aint that bad, i don't know what all the fuss is about" but they didn't go to the favelas or don't see what happens daily when the cameras are off.

It's complicated.
With Russians you are going to get their honest views because their society doesn't publicly frown upon such behaviour.
In the UK, and America I imagine, you will see more people skin their teeth at you but par with known racists, turn a blind eye to the fukked up racist shyt that's happening or attempt to downplay it. If you're around them often enough, you'll see the facade slip. If you were to bet your money on them saying slick shyt behind closed doors, you would win more often than not.
I'd say that if you met a Russian who wasn't racist, you would know that that is where they stand.
