OP that rumor was started by Tenn fans because the owner of the Browns is also Tennessee's biggest booster.
If he offered a blank check to Saban, Saban would leave Bama. Tennessee fans would rejoice, somehow make a golden hire, and slaughter Bama every year.

He wasn't THAT bad in Miami. Not going after Brees and going w/Culpepper fukked them over...HARD.
That being said, I don't see him at Bama 5 years from now. It'll either be in Texas or at an NFL team that's already talented. Thing is though...he's not getting any younger so a move BACK to the NFL would have to happen very soon.

he wasnt terrible in the nfl. went 9-7 his first year and 6-10 in his second, like someone said getting culpepper instead of brees was costly.
but he did look like shyt saying he was not going to be alabamas coach and eventually leaving to go to alabama, maybe that would be a deterrent for any owner to hire him. but you can look past it, he not on the level of petrino, that shyt was just
