That's the problem Chad isn't elite, hes a mid lvl fighter in a shallow pool. That weight class doesn't have many top end fighters hence guys like Mendes n Connor look so great but really they aren't shyt.
To be considered elite u have to beat other elite fighters at some point. I look at chads record I don't see any significant major or huge wins. In last 5 yrs who has he beat, lamas, Lantz.... Guida the guy he taken over for as gatekeeper.

frankie has always been the number 2 guys at fw, he just doesn't get any respect for some reason.

I hear you. It was just interesting to see how quickly Chad rolled out and got up. It's almost like he got hit back into consciousness.

FW is a solid division. It's not shallow.
Chad is elite. He's one of the best fighters in the division. Losing to the very best the divison has to offer doesn't make you a gate keeper or mid level fighter.
I understand your saying his first bad loss, but think of it the other way instead of he has loss to, who has he beaten to say he's elite? I think that's the problem wit Chad, he beats the lower guys but cnt best the upper tier guys, hes the gate keeper if u wanna b in that top 6 tier.

To call Mendes elite is an insult to the real elite fighters like aldo, bones Jones etc.
Ppl throw around dis word elite too loosely these days. Mendes has never beaten a champ or even a former champ. He best win is Ricardo lamas sorry that doesn't mk u elite.

i think he beats everyone at 145 that isn't aldo or frankie

Did he beat aldo, no he lost. Did he beat Connor no he lost. Did he beat Frankie no he went asleep. He didn't even last 1 round wit Franke who is a real elite fighter.
Sorry you can't LOSE your way to elite status, at some time u actually gotta beat some1 at the top

Uhh Mendes is top 3 fighter. I still think he can beat anyone in the division outside Aldo. To suggest hes a gate keeper is ludicrous
