Maia should jump ahead of Thompson... Idk :manny:
heart vs head type scenario, maia is what 38? On a 6 fight streak given his last shot was Anderson you feel for him. But wonderboy finished an ex champ (even tho he was 2-2 at the time) and the number top contender (number 1 I believe) in rory. He might be a bland personality but he can't be denied here :francis:

Condit ALWAYS been OVERRATED in my opinion...Especially when I saw him fight Nick Diaz using that "running" tactic...

Dude just NEVER looked like a "Natural Born Killer" in the fights I have seen him in...

you're an idiot.

Maia should jump ahead of Thompson... Idk :manny: that nikka Carlos should go ahead rematch Robbie as a co main event
If you had Thompson ahead before(I'm basing it on your wording), I'm not sure why a win over a Condit who has 2 wins in 4 years jumps Maia ahead.

Since he has been in the UFC tell me when he lived up to the name "Natural Born Killer"?

I looked at his UFC record, and it is NOT that impressive...Put your emotions aside, so we can have a reasonable discussion...

i agree, maia is on a longer streak

if not the title, him and cerrone should go at it
Thompson has the longest streak in the division, 7 vs 6 wins for Maia. Either way both have clearly separated themselves to the top but you know Dana White wants no parts of Maia having the belt. I find his bjj sorta entertaining, he's always working for position and finishes.

yeah, try to make this about emotions, lol.

guy has 30 wins - 15 by KO, 13 by sub (5 of 7 wins in ufc by ko) and with the exception of this maia fight, has fought his ass off and put on great shows against the top guys in his division for years. meanwhile you're probably the only person on earth to act like he's some kind of shytty, boring point fighter. there's nothing reasonable about what you're saying.

you're an idiot.

Became a maia fan his last fight and was hoping he'd come outwith something crazy tonight, guess so. Dudes just so smooth and calm, he made it look so easy against a beast in Condit.

Good to see my boy Showtime come out with a nice win, sick fight. Young kid to, I'd like to see him make a run at this belt now. Hopefully he can put a lil streak together

Main card was excellent. Lauzon vs Miller didn't disappoint, Paige with the KO :wow: (keep her far away from Joanna), Pettis vs Oliviera was FOTN and Showtime earned the victory with that guillotine choke. Once his body adjusts to the cut FW is gonna get very interesting, lots of intriguing match ups for him there.

I'm glad Maia is gonna get his shot at the WW title. I kinda expected it would end like this for Condit, wrestling is his kryptonite. I don't know where he goes from here, he's pretty much gatekeeper status after this.

It doesn't matter how good your striking is or how great your chin is...BJJ...will BREAK you. Maia is an animal with the takedowns and the jiujitsu...but I'm pretty convinced Woodley would beat the hell out of him...takedowns aren't gonna come easy against the champ and Demian will crumble like everyone else once he tastes that power. It would probably look alot like Woodley/Galvao...Tyrone just can't back up...gotta stay in the center and pick him off.

Wonder Boy/Maia is 50/50...Condit's footwork ain't that hot...Nick Diaz' lack of speed made his elusiveness look like a god. Maia could be target practice for WB...but Maia would only need 1 TD...and he'd probably get it.

Pettis/Do Bronx is one of the best fights of the year. Dudes in here hating on Pettis performance but he cut 10 lbs. to compete in a new weight class and he wasn't fighting a tune up. He was fighting a legit top 10 guy whose a big fw himself whose a pressure fighter with maybe the best jiujitsu in the division...and he beat him at his own game. He showed heart, chin, cardio and skill. McGregor, Aldo, Holloway and Pettis :wow:

PVZ was getting tagged alot before the KO. She fought with patience this time out and set Bec up with the variety of kicks but her cavewoman style isn't something she should completely throw away. Her pace makes her special, imo.

Definitely thought Joe won. Still a great fight.

Great card. Just weird seeing FOX cards after a ppv....I think they're usually best when they're a week before a ppv. Kinda feels like an afterthought when it's like this.
