And like I said, Jose Aldo in a Vale Tudo fight kills Floyd Mayweather Jr......literally:birdman:

Boxing is the better sport, but elite MMA fighters > elite boxers in a Vale Tudo fight. There's no doubt in my mind.

Too much stuff you have to watch for besides just punches:yeshrug:

that's not true

This is what people don't understand, fighting comes down to the individual

that's why some boxers have won in MMA matches without MMA training and some have lost

on the street anything goes, what makes you think the boxer is gonna fight within the rules of boxing

it's so easy to transition boxing basics into brutal no holds bared moves, it's not even funny

most boxers come from harder backgrounds than MMA guys so they are probably better street fighters because they grew up doing, not saying they would win in all cases, but they won't automatically lose anyway

street fighting is different from fighting in the ring and the cage

just like some guys can't perform under the big lights, some people might not react the same in a non controlled environment. the person with the calmest mind is gonna win

I thought I was in for a :dead:moment. Instead the average joe got a punch in and got saved by the other average folk. The UFC jobber wasn't phased by the punch or anything.
He would've mauled the regular dude on the ground.

And the elite UFC guys can all take a punch and won't gas out, so whatever regular hood superstar, Kimbo Slice style fighter @Skip b is talking about would take serous L to GSP.

average joe was winning the ground battle also, he gave dude work regardless. to me it seemed like the ufc guy was scared due to the size differential.

MMA's elite pro's are getting washed in streetfights by drunk fratboys :umad: and you think a MMA amateur in some random gym has a chance against a headbussa like @Skip b or someone that has boxed their entire life.

Didn't Ricky Hatton get knocked out by a random guy in the bar?

A retired, coked up :flabbynsick: Hatton :sas1:

Not a prime, active fighter currently signed to the most elite MMA orginization in the world :sas2:

should've used the Brandon Rios incident a few years back as an example :lupacshakur:
