Woodley fukked himslef over by choosing to sit anyway.
He had about a 0% chance of keeping that title shot when he chose to do that.

what's with the hostility? Dana promised him a shot because Hendricks missed weight for their fight. That's a fact, whether he keeps that promise or not is on him. Lawler vs Thompson is the more intriguing fight so it is what it is.

Quite a few fighters have fought very effectively with their hands down. Not sure why you even bring up Machida as him and Thompson don't fight all that much alike. Thompson is much better on the lead and has a far wider variety of kicks. Seems like the best striker at WW by quite a large margin to me

Please this isn't boxing. And most of these guys don't know how to parry strikes well. So the whole hands up thing is overstated. Especially if you good head movement, can move off track, and understand distance control. Guys like Thompson and Connor do.

Not surprised Wonderboy stopped him....I just thought it was gonna take 3 rounds to do it.

I just felt Johnny has these weight problems and when I heard about how in shape he was...I assumed he basically just focused solely on his weight and probably didn't focused on his arts as much as he needed to....

Plus on the countdown show...he was too dismissive of wonderboy's style...saying how "all I have to do is such and such and then I know he can't hit me"

Then you add in the wars he's had over the past 2 - 3 yrs. and how hittable he is and it just seemed like a bad recipe.

If they don't give CC an immediate rematch...I could more than live with hotshotting wonderboy against Lawler...but I wouldn't mind a 4 man tourney either. Wonderboy/Woodley and Condit/Maia....I wish they could do this soon so winner gets Robbie @ 200.

Wonderboy's gonna be knocking alotta these dudes out over the next couple years....all these dudes have been in wars lately...these chins won't be able to handle these clean, accurate strikes.

And Jones almost never blocks. He either keeps you at range or backs up. They say Jones' arms are bad for blocking anyway.

Nobody is sweating Thompson he already got exposed by Rick story and most recently Maia. This fight was more about what's wrong with hendricks. With stricter drug testing and iv ban dude might never be the same fighter

Rory and Lawler don't have the punch resistance anymore to deal with WB...Tyron's chin isn't iron...and WB is training w/ Weidman and a Canadian Olympian in wrestling(I think his name is matt miller)...so he's gonna recognize when these dudes wanna shoot and that'll make his strikes even looser.

Condit has been dropped on numerous occasions too...but I think he's ultimately a nightmare matchup for WB.

Matt Brown ain't better than Johnny....I wouldn't mind WB and Matt running that back, though....Matt gets destroyed in the rematch, imho. Yall just underestimate WB's improvements.
