Yep....he will be champ there too, his kickboxing is waay too much, he just needs a bit of ground then its over for his opponents there

Pereira
No he won't. Alex doesn't have the ground game to be a contender at 205.

Exactly. Alex matches up great against Izzy because Izzy is basically still a pure kickboxer. The UFC matched Alex up right and fast tracked him to a title shot, but the second he has to deal with a solid grappler Alex will be food. Especially if he goes to 205.

Saltines showin they ass in here. I don't believe in that possum shyt, but he did have a plan when he was backed up against the cage, and he had to prove the haters wrong because they were saying Alex had some unbelievable power and he just wouldn't be able to take those shots while up against the cage....Well, he took those shots and fired back, he didn't crumble under the power or take soo much pain that he was unable to continue fighting.

I noticed that too, I think Pereira bought into his own hype a bit and really though he was walking Izzy down, Izzy wasn't that hurt, he was taking his time. Now if, like their last fight, Izzy wasn't able to put him down when he caught him. Then I could see those leg kicks becoming a big problem.

I did and even if you remove it Poatan is still izzy biggest challenge, man beat him in 2 different sports, can't take that away from Poatan....that dude will be champ again soon, he probably moving up to light heavyweight....his kickboxing is too elite, he will be champ there
Cats get rocked like that for their belt and are never the same. Izzy didn't get rocked like that. Usman did. Stipe did. Usman slept jorge and Jorge was never the same. Hell McGregor got slept by poirier and just isn't the same outside of the ring, we will see what happens in the ring but cats aren't the same.

Izzy got literally sent flying by Poatan in the past breh. :russ:Y'all acting like this hasn't been one of the most competitive rivalries in all of modern combat sports. Each one of their fights has been close round by round and both have proven they are capable of knocking the other out cold. Bisping almost got decapitated by Hendo in one of MMA's nastiest knockout/follow up shots ever and he went on to win the belt in probably the biggest upset in the history of the sport. Basically every world class level kickboxer has been on the receiving end of multiple violent knockouts that they had to bounce back from, even the "GOATS". It's unavoidable in a sport where you can't clinch for safety like in boxing or control a striker completely with wrestling like MMA.

I don't think Izzy was that guy at the time. He was young and coming up. If he got knocked out like that now.....it doesn't really matter who it is. You've seen cats who got their shyt rocked and are just never the same fighter. It's who people say izzy is now, but his ufc knockout vs Alex wasn't even all that. Now alex's ko, he was sleep sleep. We will see if he dusts it off and moves on. It's possible. But he definitely ain't gonna think he's invincible.
