Usman vs Covington wasn't as close as the commentary made it seem. I had it 3-1 before the stoppage, Usman landed the harder punches, hurt Colby multiple times. If they ever run it back Usman wins easier. Colby isn't much without his wrestling, they were trying to rob Usman.

Volkanovski is fortunate the judges counted all those leg kicks, he won no doubt but the leg kicks were a huge factor. Years ago they would've probably not even mattered ala Shogun vs Machida 1. He took Max out of his comfort zone just like with Aldo.

If GDR had good TDD she could've won that fight. Amanda hasn't really addressed her cardio issues and even without TDD, GDR had her in some danger throughout the fight.

I thought Aldo should've got the nod but it was close, he looked much better at 135 than anyone thought he would. Moraes did land some good combinations so I can see why the judges gave him the fight.

Yan was supposed to dominate Faber but I didn't think he'd get a stoppage, Yan vs Cejudo would definitely be a helluva fight. This was one of the best cards of the year.

It's crazy to think one of the judges had Colby up 3-1. If they fight again I want to see Kamaru mix in some takedowns to secure some of those closer rounds.

It doesn't have to be a grapplefest but in the final minute of the round during an exchange, just change levels and take him down. Even if he pops right back up you scored some points.

Max better get an immediate rematch. Like who is he going to fight that he hasnt beat already. Also the head and body were in Max’s favor but when you eat 74 leg kicks it has to count for something(which is why volk won). If he can stop/check more of those he can definitely. Win a grudge match.

How yall feel about Clarissa being interested in fighting in MMA/UFC? It seems like she is more interested in going there than fighting an MMA fighter in a boxing match. Her size and hands would be deadly.
She better learn to wrestle and submission defense, her boxing will be light years ahead of everyone

Hands will be deadly but grappling is no joke.

Some of your points I agree with, especially about Nunes which right now she still doesn't have a clear challenger for her reign. But if she can't knock you out in the first round, she gasses and her opponent may have a shot if they have TDD.

Volk had a great strategy of taking out Max's legs, he couldn't mix it up or put power in his shots. If and they probably will fight again in a immediate rematch. Max better figure out how to check those kicks because even after the first round his legs were shot and that was pretty much the fight.

As far as the main event, I went back today and Re-watched it. Being honest, there were times when Coby and Usman were mixing and trading blows that I thought Coby was about to KO him. Usman landed the more powerful shots but coby had a higher volume and seemed to rock usman a few times but credit to his chin. And I said last night that when Coby was saying his jaw was broken, he looked defeated. in retrospect, if his trainer had said he couldn't continue and it went to the cards after the 3rd, I wonder who would've won.

Again on the rewatch, both guys had moments with the accumulative effect of usmans power taking over the latter part of the fifth. If Usman were to fighter a better striker like a Masivadal, that would give him bigger problems but I also Usman would utilize his wresting. But that was a terrific fight!

I think if masivdal wins his next fight he should fight usman, and Coby and woodley should fight next, that 170 division is stacked...
