He was piecing him up until Stipe stopped entertaining his hand fighting and went to the body. Dude was landing 80+% of over 100 significant strikes going into the third; when you're the one in there with the adrenaline pumping all you're thinking at that point is "Damn how this cookie monster sounding Croatian not go down like last time already? Just one more clean shot should do it right? :gawdamn:". He wasn't tryna think about no gameplan or wrasslin at that point Props to Stipe for being smart and tough enough to suck him into that kinda fight and survive to come out on top.

He was winning on the score cards, essentially cruising to a unanimous decision, then Stipe made the adjustment. Stipe was losing until the final two minutes. First fight was evenly matched, but Cormier looked stronger until the finish in the rematch.
